3-4 Coats eveywhere!

DSC01284

Finished blocking out primer.  Caught all the spots that I missed first time around.  Ready to re-primer and sand down again!  Round 2!

Is that a rubberized coating you've just laid down? By the way - I've found wrapping tinfoil around things like pedals, tie-rods, etc. for masking while painting to be a real time saver.

Looking good, can't wait to see more!
    Hey Marlon,

It's a liquid insulation consisting of a mixture of silicon and ceramic beads blended in a high quality acrylic polymer. It provides thermal and acoustical insulation. Comes in black and white and is light weight. I went with these guys TC Ceramic out of Seattle, Wa. They gave me a better price than Lizard Skin and you only apply the one product. Tin foil is a great tip!
Cool.. I'm looking forward to hearing how it works when you're done. I have a '64 I might eventually restore...it would be a good candidate.

    Your doghouse looks great too.
    Thanks,

Looking forward to getting some color on van soon!
Post a pic of that '64 would like to see it.
