I haven't added anything to the gallery myself in a while. Looks like they made some changes with the last upgrade of the forum software. I can't figure out how to create a new gallery either,,, but I'll get it figured out and let ya know.

Okay, I figured it out. Just wanna say that I do not like this new version of the gallery. Why they have to change things like this,, I'll never know. I have to apologize to you guys for this being so complicated. This is ridiculous in my opinion.

Anyway,,, here we go. A couple of the screens that you see may look a bit different than what I describe since I already have some albums in my gallery.

1. At the top of your screen, click on your name to bring down the little menu of options.
2. In the list of options, click "my settings"
3. When the settings page loads, you should see 2 categories. Click on "Gallery".
Attached File  albumcreate1.jpg   24.37K   24 downloads

4. When that page loads, you should see (somewhere) "create new album".. Click that button.
5. When that page loads, click "new album"
6. When you see the little window pop up, type in a name for your album, and a description (not sure if a description is mandatory or not).
7. In the area where is says "Parent Album",, ignore that,, and click the button that says "Select Album".
Attached File  albumcreate2.jpg   43.74K   22 downloads

8. When the next window pops up, it should show a little icon named "members gallery". Click "select album" next to that.
Attached File  albumcreate3.jpg   21.66K   16 downloads

9. You should now be back at the screen where you typed your album name,, and it should now say "Member's Gallery" in the box under Parent Album.. If so, select one of the album options (public, private, etc.) then click Save.

Your new album should be ready to upload images to. Just click the browse button, select the image on your computer that you wish to upload,, and then click the upload button. I ran through this pretty fast to try to get this posted,, so if I messed anything up,, let me know and we'll get it figured out.

Ignore my last post. I just tried logging in under another account I have set up for checking these type of problems as a regular member (not administrator),, and I can't get it to work either. I'll fire off a message to the software tech support folks and see what's up..

Anyone else able to create new albums?

Maybe forgot to click “save” in #7? No, I haven't tried it.

Try something different for me here.. Instead of all that complicated BS I told you to try in steps 1 through 4,, skip all that and just click the "Gallery" link below the forum's logo. On the right of the screen, you should see "browse" and "upload". Click upload. Then click "New Album",, and then continue from step #6.
It seems to be working for me now anyway.

After several, many, tries I managed to create a pix gallery. Not sure how, just kept trying. I think I went from my profile settings page, but after all the tries I’m not sure. Didn’t make much difference either way, the same pages still popped up.
All I can say is keep trying.

Been having a real problem recently when trying to post pix. It kept sticking a color code in between the [img] tags/code or turning the link between them into a highlighted link. That did not use to happen. Finally clicked on the ‘paste as plain text button & it worked.

That's for sure!... But I think I just stumbled onto something here. Are you using Internet Explorer?. I almost always use Firefox,, but I just tried it using IE 8, and it looks like the little window isn't quite the same in IE.. The button isn't there like I showed in an earlier post. You have to scroll over to the right (outside the white area) to see it. Give that a try.

That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw that. It's funny that it's like that in IE and not Firefox. Seems it would be the other way around. What with old mickey-soft having so much influence on everything.
