Here is the Proportioning Valve. The electrical just plugs right in.Now the brake lines boy thats some fun making double flair lines.

Here is a much better shot of the bracket from the drum brakes bolted the the spring tower.

Here are some of the later model bolts that hold the Saginaw box to the frame. You can see the thinner shoulder(unable to thread down like the early bolts). And some of the stand-offs I made.

This is a picture of the first plate I made. The three 1/2" holes did not line-up the box to the steering shaft very well.

And there she sits with new steering and disc brakes.

hello Don

what kind of proportioning valve is that. i like how its mounted to the frame. and direct electrical.....im about to start the scarebird conversiion

Does anyone know if theres a Saginaw that can be used with my E200 drag link? or any good places to check online the different configurations.

I'd love to do Don's upgrade, but i have Scarebird's disc brakes already. one that would mount in the same area, yet travel front to back

i found this site

thanks mark

A 70s pickup is supposed to work for an F-350 to E-300 swap, but not for a 100 or 200. I have an E-300 though, and find the brakes good enough that I've never bothered to pursue it.

I talked to a guy who did the truck swap on his E-100, was years ago, perhaps back in the 70's, he's had his van since new.

These are power steering: http://www.prosteeri...ear_catalog.htm Yet I'm no fan of the way the drag setup on the mid vans, rather update forward, which appears rather easy, swap the passenger/driver arm from the spindle, it's not made on it like the trucks, or just swap the entire spindle, it's simple.

I saw a Jeep steering box bracket modified to fit the frame, if I can get one it would look better bolted up than the steel plate you guys are using.
