Here is a note for new and old members of the group about a supplier that should never be used!

KARR RUBBER!!!!!

Karr Rubber is a worthless vendor that produces sub standard products. This board has used him in the past to produce rubber products like front door window vent gaskets and seals used on popout windows for second generation econolines. The fit, finish and quality of the product has not received high marks. Vent window gaskets having thin spots, pop out seals that require way to much screwing around with to fit and work right and a UV damage issues showing up with in a year of service. John at Karr claims to be using quality materials but his product is telling a different story.

We have even had a issue were a van owner went to him to have vent window gaskets made and he wanted to charge for a mold being made again! Can you say THIEF! If Karr rubber was a real company it would produce a catalog of all the molds that customers have paid for over the years instead of trying to scam people out of money making molds they already have. If you belong to another automotive sites please take the time to warn others over this deshonest selling pratice by Karr Rubber.

So if anyone is looking for rubber products this is not the place to go no matter how bad off you are. John

different manufacturing company manufactures different type of rubbers for specific purposes like for indoor or outdoor. based on my experience of remanufaturing rubbers for classic cars as i have already done with classic toyotas, rubbers like OEM are made with EPDM rubber material that are UV protectant material type. if a rubber doesnt last long for a minimum of 10 years from regular exposure from weather conditions, its not a EPDM material.
