How To Remove Silicone, Need Help.

My camper van is in great shape but someone got carried away using silicone. They siliconed everything and it looks terrible. I would like to remove it without damaging the finish. Any advice see pic.

I've never had much luck getting that stuff off. I usually end up peeling off the thick stuff, and then rubbing the thinner areas off with my fingers. I've read that isopropyl alcohol helps, but I've kinda wondered if one of those big pencil erasers would take off the thinner areas.

Ya know, gasoline & silicone does not get along well at all. That’s why you don’t use it anywhere on carbs.
I never tried it, but...
??
