I have a friend that lives in Troy, Michigan that needs an Accelerator Cable for his 1973 Ford Econoline 200.

I just thought that someone might know where he could locate one.

Accelerator cable? My van has a mechanical linkage from the pedal all the way to the carb. Are you sure about that? Perhaps he needs the linkage or a piece of it?  I've never seen one with a cable.

 

There's a van at the wreckers near here that may have the required parts if it is indeed linkage parts he needs. I won't be able to make it there for a couple of weeks - should be long enough for him to snap some pics of his set up and figure out what's up.

Thanks Marion for your reply. I think you are correct. Even on my 1974 the linkage is metal with a few brackets etc. and not an actual cable.

I have forwarded your reply to him. Thanks so much for responding. If i hear of anything new i will keep you posted.
