The first Quadravans were 1973s.There were other pre1973 4x4 vans.Some were used in the Baja 1000 as chase trucks.Ford had a pre1973 concept van that was also a 4x4.It didn't go into production and I haven't been able to find any info on it's 4x4 system.
The Quadravan name could have been used on something other then a van back before 1973.
