There used to be a site for the Ford Falcons, and the guy had production numbers for the early vans,, and some (or all) of the mid-econo years.. I searched around for that website for a while last night, but couldn't find it.

According to the appraiser who evaluated my van, there were 7,459 produced in 1974. I'm not sure if this means Econolines only, Club Wagons only, or both.
Also of note: In 1974, the base price for a Club Wagon Chateau was $4176 US/$4506 CDN.
I don't know where he got this info, it's just listed in the printout he gave me.
I think they made a lot of them, because everyone I meet while driving ours used to have one.

Marlon, out of curiosity, what was your van appraised at? Since it is the deluxe van.

I've been doing some research and apparently these guys here
http://www.martiauto.com/ phone: 623-935-2558 are under licensed contract with Ford and are
THE NUMBER ONE Ford experts with access to all of Ford's database. They can provide production data etc. for a fee. $46 she told me on the phone.
I might just do it, and if I do I'll report back here.
Neil.

I know that company is pretty popular with the vintage mustang crowd. They've been mentioned in a quite a few articles in "mustang and Fords" magazine.
If you're paying for the information, it might not be a good idea to post any of it here though. They might not care for that much.

It seems the Production Numbers report from Marti Auto is currently not available. The girl on the phone said to use their website, but I'll have to try phoning again I guess. Unless of course they're trying to get you to buy their upcoming books!

I saw that falcon site before . I got the figure for mine off it but I dont remember exactly. It said in 69 the club wagon in short WB was like 900 made. Seemed kind of low though to me.
I get Marti reports on all my Torinos and Mustangs. His info only goes from 67 -73 and I think its only on cars.
This is my 71 429 SCJ 4 speed, 4:11 detroit locker drag pack mustang. Talk about rare, might be only 3 made this way. Spent many years in a garage. The rims where photo shopped on it by my friend Phil.

Ford Of Canada Research Department did mine for my 1964 Mercury Meteor Custom for free. Just called in the VI.N. to them. They should do the same for the Vans. I have not sent in my vans yet.
