Wanting to paint my 72 supervan. I haven't even got motivated to repair the small rust issue b/c I still have not decided on a color or theme to go with on the van. I'd like to do a bright, bold color and possibly some sort of vinyl decal. But, I have yet to decide on anything. Looking for some ideas.

Thanks all,

Kyle

Welcome! That van is awesome... great chrome!

Don't force the issue on how to paint it! There's a spooky connection between vanner and van... it will tell you what it wants, or you'll be inspired when you least expect it! Nice thing about a van is that you can paint whatever you want... big graphic schemes, airbrushing or even a solid color!

If you go a solid color, a deep blue would show off that chrome grille!

Cheers!

Mitch,,,, If you put GTX on the side of your van,,, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave! biggrin.gif

But Mitch,

You have to paint "AMC Gremlin" or "Pacer" on the all sides and tell people, " This was a pre-released Proto Type."

you forgot Javlin, AMX, etc.but those are not Mopars laugh.gif
I just want to be able to find my van when I park it at Wal-mart tongue.gif
DOT wont let me paint it Glow in the dark Toxic Green or chrome which are some of the new paints available wink.gif

so... I want it to stand out and be seen. I also intend to do a cool dragon mural with the new electric lite paints so at night you can see it and animate the light so the fire from its mouth goes on and off, also going to use matching lime green bed liner coating under neath with green ground effects lights. yeah I like my toys with flashy bling biggrin.gif
wait till I start the inside, retro 70s with a few modern twists hidden into it. I have been planning and stocking up for this for 35 years now.
