just bought this 72
nice van no rust and no collision but it has a couple small dents
swivel seats in the front, aftermarket steerng wheel
the loudest exhaust ever, it has about 14" glasspacks on it.
i need a passenger side mirror if anyone has one and the plastic top to the doghouse (its completely missing)

i picked it up in rose hills (its out by victorville)
my plan is top make this my replacement for the quadravan.
all of the drive train from the quadravan is gonna end up in this damn near perfect body. a few inches of lift and my big old humvee tires on teh mags.
than some paint, interior and probably some pin striping and lettering and it will be done.
i will then put the (old) quadravan back together with all of the 2 wheel drive parts that came out of this van.

That could look really awesome. Some of these swb mids, in 4wd trim and not to crazy with the lift and tire size can really look bitchin.

I agree. I could see trying to copy the general look and stance, etc. I really dig it! I can't tell if it's on 5 bolt or 8 bolt wheels, but looks like really shallow backspace roughly 8" wides, and 33 or 35" BFG allterrains. Not the best real wheelin offroad tire, but they are a lighter tire, economically priced compared to many (now) and having run them myself before I think they are great on road tires and a little dry offroading. Looks like it also has almost like jeep rubber fender flares attached and trimmed real nice. I also love the sun shade/cover deal. And pretty cool, not to loud and crazy, paint job. That looks like a fun van to own. Wish I had more pics, and the full scoop on it too.

Wouldn't it though. Man, things must have been alot more relaxed than I experienced when I was younger in the early/mid 80's. I'd think, even in some of the states that have the med. use cards, that would be an immediate pull over by each and every officer that noticed. LOL, funny pic though, and amazing. Can't be much more blatent.

Tell me when.
I am going to be cutting in a matching window on the driver's side today but who cares, I can roll whenever. Today is nice and overcast too.
PM me and I will receive an email on my phone.

Is that a E200? I have a set of emblems for it if you want, don't remember what shape they are in.

Wow, does look real nice. I especially like the shade of blue that the interior shots show. Especially one shot where it looks kind grabber, but with a slight aqua twist. Guess she was that shade on the outside originally. In the one pic with the pass rear damage, I was staring at the chipped area trying to see her previous lives/shades.
Real cool man, waxed up pretty nice. Wish the pinstripping you mentioned could be seen.

it waxed up and is shiny but the paint job is horrible. you can see sanding marks under it and some fix eyes etc. definately a one day job. its actually light blue not white. i like the original blue on the inside too. i was thinking of painting my 69 that color blue.
the van is a E100 otherwise id put my mags on it.
does anyone have a single stock 5 on 5 1/2" wheel?
i wish the stripes would be visable too. its not just pin striping but 2 or 3 big wide stripes.

i found a sticker from a recreational vans inc. conversion done in 1/73
does anyone know what conversions they did? im guessing they must have put in the swivel captains seats in the front.
and do they make parts to keep the window attached to the regulator? everytime i close the door the regulator pin pops out of the roller in the window sash.
there is a roller and a clip but they dont seem to be right? i havent pulled a panel off of one of the other vans to see whats missing yet

Yeah, I could see redoing that striping and it looking pretty sweet. I was thinking that looked real super light blue. Hard to tell sometimes. Wonder if it was the light blue with stripes then???? And not the original blue, but with stripes added.
Slotted mags would look sweet.
Is that Recreational Vans Inc., a well known place from back in the day? And what year is this van? Curious if it had some kind of conversion done when new, or a bit after.

That ad has an awesome "Spirit of 76" Dodge van.

I couldn't see the pics of the other truck that came out of Recreational Vans Inc., but this is another from the thread, and may have come out of there too. Get a load of the 70's graphics and custom pipes. 70's machines are definetly my favorite.

When you get to the slider door, I have the cardboard inserts that you can borrow to make your boards with. I have the big one and the small one. I also have all of the door panels if you need to make templates also. I am not sure if you have door panels or not.
