Roger Please pin this info.
Here is a picture of my inside glass frames and the outside rubber gasket frames.
I did the I/S frame latch replacement like on the Bronco site.I used latches from a 1989 F250 with plastic handles. What I don't like about the latches are the latch bracket's are narrower than the Econoline frames.I had to make some small narrow shim's to center the bracket in the grove of the frames. To hard to get any pictures of this because of such a small detail.
I recomend using Jeffs Bronco Graveyard site for new parts.
Vent window handles #14325
Vent window repair pin left #14321 and Right #14320
The Blue tape is holding the glass in for drying.
TIPS
When removing the glass from the I/S frames the frames bend a little.Make sure to bend back to the same angle as the glass before painting.
Make sure the frames you have are in good rust free shape.I would not recommend removing any glass that the frames are bulging from rust.
Treat any rust that is in the grove area before painting with a rust converter.
Closer picture of inside frames.
Also in this picture you can see where I did the first glue points on the outside frames for the new rubber vent seals. The location of the small C-Clamps.Glue here first and let dry.
The next picture showes what holes to lineup the rubber seals to.When stretching the seals and glueing in.The picture is only of the bottom hole point you must also lineup the holes where the hinges are.
Here is where the second glue point is at the next set of clamps.A second set of hands would really come in handy at this point.Apply the glue stretch the rubber to lineup the holes and clamp.
Now is the time to glue the curve area. You can see how many clamps I have used to stretch the rubber and hold.We still have yet to glue the division bar area.Stay tuned.More to come ofter this breaf message from our sponsors.

Next is to install the inner frames to the outer frames. Then close and latch and take note of where you need to have your division bar seal to make a good seal on the glass. Then glue them in at your noted position.Hopefully you can see the latter model latches in the picture.

Hey Don, it has been 2 and a half years since I last looked at my van doors to see how to get the whole vent window assembly out of the door. I remember fooling with it for about 30 minutes and then giving up. I am getting ready to work on the doors again. Could you tell me how you got the assembly out? What other things you had to remove in order to do it? Thanks

Hey I figured out how to get those buggers out, so my next question would be... What kind of glue did you use to put it back together?... And were you pleased with it?
Thanks,

Man it's been a log time since this post?Oct 2005.
Old post like this I miss that anybody post here asking questions.
Spoti I did not mean to blow you off I missed the post on the 16th.
I see you found the Locktite 406 on Dave's post. That's the stuff to use.
The glue holds up good the rubber that's another story. The rubber drys out
fast here in southern California.Just hope it last longer for you.
Thanks Don

Loctite it is then... Thanks for the comfirmation! Hey don't worry about not replying, I am sure there is a lot I have missed over time too
Say it aint so! That new rubber you put on in 2005 is already shot?!?! This must be some cheap stuff then. I will have to take extra good care of it then I can't afford another $185. on my salary.
